THE ART OF BEING HUMAN
Living and working in a city can be exciting and full of opportunity, but it can also feel isolating, demanding and overwhelming. Looking within can feel uncomfortable and it takes courage to face the feelings, patterns and questions we may have been holding back.
And you don’t have to do it alone.
INTEGRATIVE AND RELATIONAL THERAPY WITH YVONNE
Our relationships, responsibilities and sense of self can shift as we move through different stages of life, especially if life doesn’t unfold quite as we expect. You may be experiencing:
‘Who am I’ in your 20’s?
Exploring identity, relationships, work and your place in the world.
‘What am I creating’ in your 30’s?
Balancing career, relationships and responsibilities while shaping the life you want.
‘What really matters’ in your midlife?
Reflecting on what feels meaningful, reassessing priorities, and considering what comes next.
Whether through psychotherapy or therapeutic coaching, we can work together to understand what is bubbling under the surface to help you navigate life with renewed awareness and clarity.
My approach is grounded, clear and robust in your journey to develop new ways of relating to yourself and the world around you.
EMOTIONAL WELLBEING
You might be struggling with difficult emotions, feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself. Our lives span across different parts of ourselves and you might be feeling one or more of the following:
INNER WORLD
Are you:
- struggling with self-esteem, perfectionism or imposter feelings
- feeling “not enough” or “too much”
- carrying disappointment, regret or self-doubt
- feeling stuck, lost or disconnected from yourself
- finding your inner critic louder than your compassionate voice
EMOTIONAL WORLD
Are you having:
- anxiety — caught in worry, catastrophising or avoidance
- overwhelm — feeling stretched beyond your capacity
- vulnerability — finding it difficult to let yourself be seen
- anger — struggling with its intensity and wanting to find a healthier way to express it
- sadness and grief — carrying loss, disappointment or a sense of hopelessness
- shame and guilt — understanding difficult feelings without letting them define you
OUTER WORLD
Do you:
- find difficult conversations challenging, or do you tend to avoid them
- lose yourself in intimate relationships and struggle with boundaries
- find it hard to navigate friendships, family dynamics and social circles
- experience difficulties at work or in professional relationships
- feel affected by world politics and climate change
EMERGING NEURODIVERSE TRAITS
Perhaps you’re wondering whether you’re neurodivergent or considering a diagnosis. We can explore experiences such as processing difficulties, rejection sensitivity, social anxiety managing excitement and how to navigate a neurotypical world.
CULTURAL IDENTITY, SEXUALITY & BELONGING
You may feel caught between different cultures, communities or struggle with your identity. We can explore identity, belonging, cultural differences and the experience of being a firstgeneration, immigrant or an expat in the UK.
WORK CHALLENGES & CAREER TRANSITIONS
Work can deeply affect our sense of self. We can explore workplace relationships, bullying, redundancy, organisational change, career transitions or questions about whether your work still feels right and what you might desire for the future.
AI, CHATBOTS & THERAPY
AI can offer useful tools for reflection and is often affirming in its approach. Therapy offers something different: the depth, nuance and connection of a human relationship that evokes real change. We can explore how AI’s advice may complement your therapeutic journey.
THERAPY & COACHING IN GERMAN & ENGLISH
Being bilingual, I offer therapy in both German and English. Expressing early experiences, emotions and memories in your mother tongue can bring a greater depth and subtlety to the therapeutic process.
SPECIFICALLY, I SUPPORT CLIENTS AROUND THESE ISSUES
- Family dynamics & conflict, boundaries, and enmeshment
- Co-dependency, relationship difficulties, and attachment-based patterns
- Cultural identity, belonging, and intersectional experiences
- Displacement, migration, and loneliness
- Bereavement, grief and loss
- Stress and overwhelm
- Anxiety and low-level depression
- Life transitions and periods of uncertainty
- Workplace challenges including redundancies, career change, and organisational dynamics
- Shame, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, self-esteem, and assertiveness
INTEGRATIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY
My way of working is directive and engaging, grounded in psychodynamic, existential and humanistic psychotherapy and trauma-aware informed practice. I also work with culturally sensitivity and LGBTQ+ affirming approach.
The therapeutic process offers an opportunity to develop a different relationship with your emotions and past experiences, approaching them with curiosity, compassion and understanding. I work at your pace and prioritising emotional safety, choice and consent.
By slowing down, you can begin to reconnect with yourself and what matters most to you. Over time, deeper emotional and unconscious patterns shaped by your relationships, culture and life experiences will come to the fore.
When it feels supportive, we can also explore the symbolic and existential dimensions of your experience. This may include working with dreams, imagery and creative expression as pathways to deeper insight and meaning.
My aim is to help you deepen your self-understanding, reconnect with what matters to you, and find an inner compass for choices that feel more aligned with your values and a true sense of self.
COACHING WITH THERAPEUTIC DEPTH
Coaching offers a more structured, forward-focused way of working, while remaining emotionally attuned and reflective. It can complement psychotherapy or provide a focused space for meaningful change in your life and work.
We might explore career and life transitions, redefine success beyond external expectations, develop more sustainable habits, or make greater space for creativity, joy, rest and play.
Therapeutic coaching brings emotional depth together with gentle momentum. Together, we can explore what may be holding you back emotionally, clarify what matters to you, and turn insight into thoughtful, grounded action attuned to your inner values.
The focus is on building resilience, opening new perspectives, and finding ways of living and working that feels more aligned with your strengths and values.
WORKING TOGETHER
Everyone’s journey is different and the nature our work together is based on what you’re looking for and what feels right for you. Choices are:
COACHING (6 OR 12 SESSIONS)
Focused, forward-looking work combining reflection with practical action.
COUNSELLING
Shorter-term support around a specific difficulty, transition or period of change.
PSYCHOTHERAPY
Deeper exploration of long-standing patterns, emotions and experiences, with regular reviews as the work develops. A chance to explore the subconscious with an exploration of dream work, symbolism and creative art forms.
