Sometimes we carry more than others can see.
Not everything we carry has a name. Reaching out can feel daunting — you might wonder if what you’re experiencing is significant enough, worry about being judged, or question whether talking can really help.
Against a backdrop of stigma, particularly for those who’ve learnt that asking for help is weakness, it takes courage to pause and reach out.
I offer a confidential, professional, and non-judgemental space where we can make sense of what you’re experiencing — to find clarity, discover what matters to you, rebuild your balance, and begin reconnecting with yourself and others.
Therapy with Odafe Sideso
Areas We Might Explore
- Low mood and feeling stuck – when motivation fades or life feels flat despite appearances.
- Work Stress & Burnout – when constant pressure erodes energy or purpose.
- Relationship Strain – when distance, silence, or unmet expectations make connection difficult.
- Discrimination & belonging – when navigating difference or invisibility takes its toll.
- Loss & Change – when endings or transitions feel disorienting and hard to hold.
- Personal Growth & Clarity – when success no longer feels aligned with meaning or direction.
What to Expect
Therapy is a journey. It can be uncomfortable, revealing, and disorientating. There may be moments when you question whether it’s worth it — when old patterns surface or feelings you’ve pushed aside demand attention.
Yet therapy can also be freeing, replenishing, and deeply restorative. It creates room to breathe, to reconnect with yourself, and to see beyond the expectations that keep you stuck.
You’ll find a space where you can bring your whole self — including the parts you’ve learnt to hide. Together, we can explore what lies beneath the surface, navigate what feels overwhelming, and examine the patterns that no longer serve you.
How I Work
I work as an integrative therapist, grounded in the person-centred tradition. This means the relationship between us is central to our work. My approach blends Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and existential ideas.
My aim is to create a space where you feel accepted as you are — where you can bring whatever feels important, including uncertainty, anger, guilt, or fear, and we can sit with them together at your own pace.
Sometimes that involves practical tools to help you respond differently to difficult thoughts and emotions; at other times, it means exploring deeper questions about identity, belonging, and meaning.
Background
Before becoming a therapist, I worked for over 25 years in business and technology consultancy, where I mentored and collaborated with people from many different backgrounds and cultures.
That experience offered a close view of how people respond to pressure, navigate change, and find ways to thrive — even in demanding environments. Seeing how reflection and support could help people restore balance led me to train as a therapist.
Therapy, like any meaningful process, can be both steady and challenging. It may feel uncomfortable or revealing, yet it can also be freeing, nourishing, and restorative — creating space for renewal, clarity, and reconnection with what matters most.
